Some couples just get it — the fashion, the vision, the connection. Caitlin and Jake brought all that and more to their downtown Charleston engagement session, blending editorial style, romantic details, and a touch of vintage magic that made this shoot truly unforgettable.
From the start, their vision was clear: they wanted their engagement photos to feel vintage, romantic, and editorial, something iconic they could use for their save-the-dates, wedding website, and most importantly, to document this season of life with intention.
We began the shoot in front of a blooming historic home, where a vintage Rolls-Royce from Whip Dash Charleston set the tone for timeless elegance. As we were shooting, the homeowner — a Charleston local who has lived there for over 25 years — stepped out to say hello. He was so warm and welcoming, and before we knew it, we were being invited into his private backyard garden oasis. It was one of those rare, unexpected Charleston moments that made the day feel even more meaningful.
The fashion was next-level. Jake wore a classic black tux, while Caitlin brought not one, but two stunning looks. Her first outfit was a white dress from Matters Store, styled with Tony Bianco heels and a soft scarf around her neck — effortlessly elegant and romantic. For the second look, she changed into a tailored white suit by Nadine Merabi, paired with a faux bouquet and veil for a playful twist that still felt modern and bold.
As we wandered through the cobblestone streets and historic facades, the entire session felt cinematic — like a still from an old film, but with a crisp editorial edge. Every frame spoke to who they are: stylish, in love, and completely themselves.
These two are tying the knot in Charleston in March 2026, and if their wedding day feels anything like their engagement session, it’s going to be iconic in every way.
