“Katie Dewald has a heart of gold! It was amazing being a participant in her first Human Gatherings content retreat!! I was completely blown away by the level of detail and care that she put into the whole retreat! She had surprise welcome gifts waiting for us on each of our beds and all the details of the shoots laid out for us, too. Each shoot was creative and unique. We went to several different locations and had both indoor/outdoor & couples/elopement shoots. The variety and details that went into each shoot were perfect for content building. I also can’t say enough about the other girls who attended. I feel like Katie set a relaxed & welcoming tone which really set the mood for the whole retreat. Mentor sessions are offered to photographers looking for customized guidance in an array of topics such as getting started in the industry, building your portfolio, pricing and packaging, creating a business model, social media engagement, editing tips, and more. Mentorships are available through virtual calls, one on one meetings, and small group sessions. Styling services are also available for shoots through the mentorship series.

Human Gatherings
The Human Gatherings content retreat is a three day educational event designed to inspire creativity, connect kindred creatives, and expand their portfolios. A packed program of styled shoots centered around varying artistic concepts challenges attendees to think outside of the box and create without limitations, leaving them with original content that beautifully elevates their portfolio. Photographers looking to step out of their comfort zone and develop their unique perspective behind the camera are welcomed to participate in the next retreat. Past retreats have consisted of 5 shoots, an educational presentation, a Q+A group editing session, headshots, lodging, and dining.
