Let me paint you a picture of pure wedding bliss: Brooke and Gill’s intimate micro wedding at the Post House Inn in the enchanting city of Charleston, SC. The festivities began with a heartfelt ceremony at the St. Paul’s Historic Chapel, made even more special by Gill’s uncle, who took on the role of officiant. The chapel itself exuded a simple elegance, needing no additional decor to enhance its inherent charm.
As Brooke prepared for her big day, surrounded by her beloved bridal party and family, I took the opportunity to capture the intricate details from a storytelling perspective. My goal was to preserve the emotions and essence of the moments, allowing their love story to unfold naturally.
In attendance were only their closest friends and family, some traveling from afar, a rare occasion when all are gathered together. The significance of this intimate gathering made the day even more precious. Brooke and Gill’s only instruction to me was to capture the essence and feeling of their special day, and they longed for romantic, timeless photos.
Embracing a minimalistic, journalistic approach, I documented their micro wedding at the Post House Inn, by capturing candid moments and authentic emotions. After the ceremony, we made time for portraits, taking advantage of the magical sunset and the ethereal lighting during the blue hour. To add a touch of uniqueness to their gallery, I brought my flash for portraits during the blue hour, creating a distinct look and feel.
The Rose Room at the Post House Inn set the stage for their wedding reception, which deviated from the traditional format. They opted for an intimate affair, focusing solely on dinner and drinks, reflecting their personal desires rather than conforming to societal expectations. Brooke and Gill’s trust in my vision and expertise throughout the entire process further deepened our connection, allowing me to capture their day with authenticity and joy.
Witnessing the love and trust between Brooke, Gill, and myself was truly an incredible experience, making their micro wedding a testament to the beauty of intimate celebrations and cherished connections.

Hi! I just came across your page and love your work! My fiance, Clay, and I are thinking about getting married in Charleston, SC at the Parsonage fall next year (either October 12 or October 19). I was wondering if you had availability for either of those dates and what your pricing would be. The venue’s capacity is 80 people and we are thinking that we will have around 70 guests. It is also a (mainly) outdoor venue, so our vibe is garden party-esque 🙂
