Some weddings are beautiful. Some are emotional. And then there are weddings like this California wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum — where every single moment radiates love, laughter, and pure joy.
Set against the dramatic ocean cliffs of La Jolla, California, this destination wedding was the perfect blend of fun, romantic, and entirely them — just how the couple described it. From a pillow fight in matching PJs at Hotel La Jolla to a private last dance and bubble exit, the energy never dropped. It was one of those days where you could truly feel the love — between the couple, their people, and the moment they created together.
The ceremony and reception took place at the stunning Scripps Seaside Forum, a modern cliffside venue with panoramic views of the Pacific. Right as the couple sealed their vows with a kiss, flower and confetti cannons went off, filling the air with petals and cheers. It was loud, joyful, cinematic — everything a first kiss should be.
Sunset portraits on the beach followed, with the bride changing into a second look that caught the golden light perfectly. We created editorial-style images that still felt relaxed and real — my favorite kind.
One of the most heartfelt moments of the day was the golden hour speeches, given by the Maid of Honor and Best Man. The light, the emotion, the way everyone was completely present — it was magic. Moments like these are why I love being a traveling wedding photographer — I get to be right in the middle of joy like this, capturing it as it unfolds.
The celebration carried into the night with a money dance, colorful signature drinks, and non-stop dancing with 130 of their closest friends and family. Every detail — from the vibrant food to the laughter and tears — reflected who this couple truly is.
They ended the night with a private last dance and a bubble-filled grand exit into their getaway car. It was soft and sparkly and emotional — the perfect sendoff to a day full of feeling.
