This wedding was an absolute dream to capture at St. James 1868 wedding in Milwaukee. From their getting ready photos and intentional time for a private letter reading to Julia’s first look with her dad and grandparents and the emotional ceremony at Saint James 1868 that had everyone in tears, it was a beautiful day. Julia + Hunter wanted photos that not only told a story of their day, but also captured the emotion and feeling of the day in their photos. They included so many intentional things during their day like their grandfather’s vintage car that they drove away in after their ceremony, and changed around some of the traditional order of events on their day to make it more them! We took our time with their portraits, hopping around to a few separate locations and letting them soak in the emotions of saying “I do” moment before! I highly recommend to any of my couples to just take a few minutes, be by yourself, soak it all in! You have probably heard a million times that your wedding day goes by so quickly, and it truly does! After their portraits, we headed to cocktail hour at …. They danced, they cried, they ate! A beautiful way to end a magical wedding day at St. James 1868 in Milwaukee.
Here is what my couple had to say: “Katie is the real deal!! Having Katie shoot our wedding was the best investment we ever made! No matter what your wedding vision is, Katie will bring it to life far beyond what you could ever dream of. We are endlessly grateful for her attention to detail, organization, punctuality, and warmth. Hunter and I were awestruck by how Katie was able to beautifully capture the raw and real emotions of our big day. Her mix of film and digital for our wedding was a stunning mix of classic and modern. The photos you receive will be the kinds of photos that will be treasured through generations upon generations. We love you, Katie!!!!”
