Sullivan’s Island Beach Golden Hour Engagement Session

These two cuties traveled into Charleston, South Carolina for their engagement session with me. When we were first dreaming up their session, Kelsi told me she definitely wanted untraditional photos for an engagement session of them in swimsuits running around during golden hour. We started with a “regular” outfit at one beach in Charleston, and then changed to head to our second location.

We started shooting their swimsuit look before golden hour and the transition into the prettiest light couldn’t have been more perfect. They ran around, dove into the ocean, and laughed their heads off. As gold hour started to fade, I wanted to wait a couple more minutes to see what the sky would do. If you didn’t already know, South Carolina sunsets tend to end with cotton candy skies. To our delight, we got the prettiest pink, purple, and blue skies. It was incredible! Not only did I have the privilege of capturing K+E ‘s engagement photos, I also get to capture their wedding day in 2022!
